"Pearls of Paradise"This unique, modern design is an example of how flexible and versatile Cakes by Jane can be with your wedding cake request. Sitting on a round cake base, square cake tiers are covered in yellow, buttercream icing and lined with edible pearls. Round layers of varying sizes highlight the separtion of the square layers and create an architectural illusion which "defies" the eye! Each round layer is encircled with handmade gumpaste discs hand painted with edible paint to match the colors in the flowers. The strategically placed Bird of Pardise flowers create an artistic statement when juxtaposed against the fine lines and symmetry of this unique cake. We have seen this cake embellished with other unusual flowers or simply left unadorned with any flowers at all. |
