About Us
How it all started...

Jane Tomlinson, Founder
1950 - 2003
In 1974 Jane was recruited to cater Georgia's Governor George Busbee's inaugural reception for 5,000 people. In 1997, at the suggestion of many of her clients and friends, Jane decided to experiment with mailing out her delicious cream cheese pound cakes as holiday gifts for corporations and individuals. The first year went extremely well, and Jane offered this service again during the 1998 holiday season. After such an overwhelming response, Jane decided it was time to offer her mail order cakes through out the year.
Jane trained her son, Van and her husband, Don on how to bake all of her delicious cake recipes. Van has been overseeing the baking of all of our cakes since 2001.
Today's Legacy

Don Tomlinson

Van Tomlinson
Since Jane passed away in 2003, Don and Van have continued operating the family business based on Jane's famous recipes. Van oversees the baking, packing and shipping of each cake. Don handles the business office along with the sales and marketing areas.
The Tomlinsons operate their business out of a 3,600 square foot commercial kitchen in Asheville, NC. Van is personally involved with the mixing and baking of every cake, just the way his mother taught him. Her recipe is still our reputation.
"Every batch of Jane's delicious recipe is closely monitored to be sure we maintain Jane's high standard of excellence," says her husband, Don. "We don't compromise with her original recipe. It is our way of keeping her legacy alive."
